Development Trend of Energy Technologies and Systems for Low-carbon Society in Japan
Investigating R&D Committeeon energy supply and demand systems/technologies in next generation
Keyword : low-carbon society, energy system, appliances, commercial & residential sector
For realizing the efficient utilization of energy and reduction in CO2 emission, it is important to develop a new energy supply & demand system, which is desirable in the next generation. For this purpose, we need to know wide variety of information on energy supply and demand, e.g. available primary energy and its geographical distribution, individual final energy demand, development trend of energy technologies, and related energy policies and regulations.
Focusing on the preceding experiments and activities in the commercial & residential sector in Japan, this technical report investigates and summarizes the informative materials from the following various points of view , which contribute to discuss the energy supply & demand system in the next generation.
- Available amount of primary energy, and domestic distribution of renewable energies.
- Prediction of energy demand in domestic commercial & residential sector, and psychological factor.
- Recent development of energy technologies and management techniques for energy conservative life
- New proposals and experiments of electric power systems, large-scale heat utilization systems, biomass utilization systems in the next generation
- Relation between energy system and urban planning
