Investigating R&D Committee on Practical Analysis Techniques of 3-D Electromagnetic Field for Rotating Machines
Keyword : Rotating Machines, Electromagnetic Field Analysis, Finite Element Method, Practical Analysis Techniques, Benchmark Model
In recent years, the applicable scope of rotating machines is expanded rapidly and the demand of high- efficiency and performance becomes larger. The 3-D electromagnetic field analysis takes a lot of time even if the newest computers are used, although a lot of information is given by the analysis. It is desired that the electromagnetic filed analysis is coupled with nonlinear analyses, electric circuits and structural analyses in order to obtain more highly precise results.
This report describes new analysis technologies about loss evaluation, permanent magnet modeling, large-scale and high-speed computation, coupled analysis with stress, and the application examples of various rotating machines. The usefulness of the 3-D electromagnetic field analysis is clarified through comparing with measurements of IPM and SPM motors.
